The 30th is a day to ride with friends-White Carniola

When summer comes, the Rotary pulse slows down, most clubs do not meet and there are few joint Rotary activities.
But this does not apply to the Rotarian motorcyclists united in IFMR Slovenia and North Macedonia.

June 30, 2026 was the hottest day in Slovenia this year with temperatures up to 37 degrees Celsius. But it was also the thirtieth day of the month, a day for riding with friends.

Despite the heat, health challenges of some of our members and holidays, we met in Ljubljana. A motorcyclist friend who was unable to go on the ride came to greet us and cheer us up.

As always, the decision about where we would go for the ride was a matter of the weather and the momentary inspiration of those present. We had three route suggestions prepared and worked out; to northern Primorska, to the Slovenian coast or to Gorenjska, and in the end we went to Bela Krajina. On this year's main ride in this same month of June, we rode over four thousand-meter peaks, on roads that had been snowing just a few hours earlier, and now we rode in record-breaking heat, which fortunately did not affect us, not even our youngest or oldest participant.

The day was wonderful, as was the nature in Bela Krajina. The roads were friendly to motorcyclists and mostly empty. In Kolpa, we enjoyed refreshments, a natural massage, and heavenly views. We did not return home until the evening. Priceless.
