The 30th is a day to ride with friends-Posavje

30. 09. 2025

The weather forecast for 30. 9. 2025 was again not promising for a motorcycle ride organized by IFMR. Precipitation was predicted, but the desire to spend time with Rotary motorcycle friends was once again stronger.

We adjusted to the radar picture of precipitation and instead of the planned coast, which promised the highest temperatures but also the most rain, we thought about the central belt of Slovenia, which promised drier weather. Gorenjska was in the game, but in the end we decided together to head east, while Primorska and Gorenjska will wait for the next opportunity.

This time we drove along the valley of the Besnica stream and via Šmartno pri Litiji, where we visited the church, which was built in just two years by the locals in the neo-Gothic style at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, we drove via Gabrovka and Mokronog back to Mirna, where we were impressed by the view of the renovated castle, which is reflected in the nearby pond. We drove again along an idyllic road that always impresses with its curves or with breathtaking views of the fields, forests and green meadows where domestic animals graze freely. After a pleasant friendly lunch in Mirna, we said goodbye and each set off towards our own destination, already thinking about the final ride along the Adriatic Highway, which will follow in three days.

The weather was kind to us in the end and not a drop of rain fell on us during the entire ride, the roads were also dry, and we were grateful.
