Two days visit Gorica region

Rasti Fakuc organized a St. Martin holidays in Gorica region and a visit to Goriška brda on November 19 and 20.

The meeting was attended by 16 participants from 9 Rotary clubs. We meet each other in front of the Hotel Sabotin in Solkan, then we visited the wine cellar Brda in Dobrovo. After the tour and tasting, we visited Šempas. Martin's dinner was served to us at the farm tourism in house of  Rjavčevi. During dinner, we hosted Ivo Peršolja, the founder and long-term president of Sommeleier Assosiation of  Slovenija, who told us all about wine and food.

On the second day, after breakfast, we visited to Stara Gorica for morning coffe, where  joined to us vice president of RC Gorizia Luca Vittori. Together we  visited the castle there. We continued our journey across the Soča to Goriška Brda and to the Sabotin mountain, where we visited caves from the First World War under the guidance of curator Bogdan Potokar. We also walked along the edge of Sabotin to the church of St. Valentine. After lunch in the cottage on Sabotin, we finished our gathering.
